I used to post primarily on Facebook to reflect my daily thoughts and opinions. Now I have a need to use a personal blog. One of the many issues that bothered me is the abundance of advertising that appears on my profile page. Many of these ads are annoying to me. For example, because I’m single many dating sites ads appear. I don’t want to meet any dates or women via a dating site. I might add, that it’s useful to a sect of population who seeks it. I have used them in the past, but I don’t need to be inundated with them. Some of my posts may be controversial thus violating something somewhere. I wouldn’t dare think about trying to cause any chaos on a public internet system. I would like to read some of my older posts to gain a reflection of a particular time period. I have no control over what a public system does with my posts. Maybe I need control of my most precious thoughts.
