What useful prompt-engineering training should demonstrate
A practical course should help a learner move from an informal request to a task that can be checked. That means identifying the audience and desired output, supplying relevant context, defining constraints, and deciding how a result will be evaluated.
For example, a useful exercise is to ask an AI system to extract fields from a document, then test it on documents with missing or contradictory information. A polished answer is less valuable than a process that notices when the source does not support an answer.
For business automation, the exercise should also identify which actions need human approval, which information the tool may access, and how failures are recorded. These are proposed evaluation criteria for readers, not a claim that every listed course already implements them.
Credentials and career expectations
A provider-issued credential should be evaluated on its actual assessment and the work a learner can show. It should not be presented as independent accreditation or a guarantee of employment.
